The Department of Technical Thermophysics uses academic versions of the ANSYS CFX, ANSYS Fluent, FlowVision software for scientific and educational purposes, which are used to simulate three-dimensional flows of liquids and gases in technical and natural objects, as well as to visualize these flows by computer graphics.
The Department carries out the State budget research work № 81.01.04.10-11 "Development of jet lowering thermotransformer for systems of efficient heat supply of communal services of Ukraine".
The department performed scientific and technical development in the field of energy efficiency at the request of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2017-2018): "Development of energy-saving turbogenerator for the utilization of compressed gas energy" (Head Vaneyev S.M). The purpose of the work was to develop an energy-saving turbogenerator for the utilization of energy of excess pressure of gases and steams and to generate electricity for own needs of gas distribution stations and/or external networks, as well as at power units of industrial enterprises. A prototype of a turbogenerator with a significantly increased efficiency of the vortex turbine was designed, as well as an experimental stand, where it is possible to conduct a study of the turbogenerators of various design execution and demonstrate the work of the turbogenerator to potential customers of the developed products.
The project was presented during the International Forum "Innovation Market", the International Scientific and Technical Conference "Hydroaeromechanics in Engineering Practice" and the All-Ukrainian Inter-University Scientific and Technical Conference "Modern Technologies in Industrial Production".
