Power engineering is one of the leading heavy engineering industries producing energy equipment. The main products of power engineering are primary engines and related equipment for production of various working bodies (liquids, steam, gas) and electric power: Steam, hydraulic and gas turbines, electric generators for them, steam turbine units, compressors, generators, steam boilers, nuclear power reactors, steam generators, pumps, boiler-auxiliary equipment for heat power plants and heat power plants, equipment for nuclear and geothermal power plants, pipelines, devices for chemical water purification, internal combustion engines (except transport) etc. And it is all around us! Among the energy machines, the systems of creation and maintenance of low temperatures, working on the basis of refrigeration units and air-conditioning systems, and also significant distribution have got heating and ventilation systems. The educational program "heating, ventilation, air conditioning and artificial cold" is unique and demanding, because there is always a need of humanity in maintaining comfortable conditions both in life and during realization of various technological processes, support of sanitary conditions of microclimate, ensuring preservation of quality of food and pharmaceutical products, wide application of cold in medicine, technologies of mechanical engineering, chemical industry and many other industries. It should also be noted that the composition of air-conditioning, heating and ventilation systems, refrigeration units often include compressor machines of different types, vacuum equipment and auxiliary devices, therefore choosing the educational program "heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and artificial cold" the applicant has a unique opportunity to get a wide and universal spectrum of knowledge and skills in energy engineering. The program is based on the well-known scientific results taking into account the current state of power engineeringfocuses on actual specialization, within which further professional and scientific career is possible: refrigeration equipment and technology, systems of microclimate support (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), energy saving technologies, compressors and vacuum equipment, heat power engineering.

The program is focused on studying practically all types of refrigerating machines and installations, ventilation systems, heating and conditioning, on the ability to perform calculations of thermal and material balances, parameters and characteristics of energy and heat-technological equipment, to construct and to know the processes of manufacturing, installation, adjustment, operation and repair of various equipment, which is included in the specified installations and systems.

The study of the program is based on realization of a number of mutually connected course works and objects of design character with individual object of research, execution of master's work is accompanied by practical preparation at industrial enterprises.

After receiving the diploma, graduates can work in engineering and object organizations, in research institutions and academic institutions, at industrial enterprises, establishments and organizations in the composition of departments and services, work connected with scientific researches, development, production, exploitation of refrigeration and climate engineering, ventilation systems, as well as compressor and vacuum technics, thermal installations and networks, energy-saving technologies.

Among Power Machines, a special place is occupied by compressor machines, vacuum equipment and various pneumatic units. The educational program "compressors, pneumatic units and vacuum equipment" is unique: humanity's need for compression, rarefaction and movement of various gases will always be there. The program is based on well-known scientific results, taking into account the current state of Power Engineering, focuses on current specializations, within which further professional and scientific career is possible: technologies for the production and use of compressed gases, energy-saving technologies, compressors and compressor stations, pneumatic units and vacuum equipment, heat and power engineering, refrigerating machines and installations.

What is studied:

The program focuses on the study of almost all types of compressors, the ability to perform calculations of thermal and material balances, parameters and characteristics of energy and heat technology equipment, design and know the processes of manufacturing, installation, adjustment, operation and repair of heat exchange equipment, compressors and pneumatic units.

 

The study of the program is based on the implementation of a number of interrelated coursework and design projects with an individual object of research, the implementation of the final work is accompanied by practical training at industrial enterprises.
